Windhoeker Maschinenfabrik (WMF) was contracted by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of Namibia (MET) for the supply and construction of a 2.44 meter high electrified Game Proof Fence for a total of 32 kilometers in length around the Mahango Park. The construction of this project formed part of the MET’s action plan to curb the spread of Foot & Mouth Disease in the Republic of Namibia and contain the movement of elephant from Mahango Park to the Kaudum Park.

As a manufacturing company WMF was entrusted with the task to supply and construct the Mahango park fence as well as electrifying the entire park’s fence; As part of the Implementation policy on the Human wildlife conflict management from MET, WMF is proud to provide services that will reduce the incidence of human wild life conflict with the neighboring communities and also minimize the risk of foot and mouth disease across borders.
